The VAW Golf Tournament was held on March 21, 2015 at the Apache Wells Country club. 32 Village golfers and 12 guests teed off at 8AM, and gathered on the patio after golf, for buffet lunch and awards. The weather was perfect, golf was excellent, and everyone had a great time.

-SCORING OUT OF BOUNDS-1 SHOT PENALTY. IF YOU GO OUT OF BOUNDS ON THE TEE SHOT, YOU HIT ANOTHER BALL AND YOU ARE LAYING 2. BUT IF YOU GO TO WHERE YOU WENT O.B. AND HIT, YOU ARE LAYING 3.
-IF YOU GO INTO THE WATER(SAY FROM THE TEE) GO TO WHERE YOU WENT IN OR THE (DROP AREA) AND HIT ANOTHER BALL. YOU ARE HITTING 3.
-IF YOU ARE BEHIND A TREE OR BY A WALL, OR IN A BUSH OR IN THE DESERT AND MOVE THE BALL ADD ONE STROKE.
-A GIMMIE ON THE GREEN MUST NOT BE OUT ANY FURTHER THAN THE METAL(APPROX.24”0 OF A SHORT PUTTER.
-MAXIMUM SCORE: IF YOUR HANDICAP IS 18 OR UNDER IS 2, FROM 19 UP 3. MAXIMUM HANDICAP A PERSON WILL HAVE IS 36.
-I KNOW THESE RULES ARE NOT P.G.A. RULES. THEY ARE SO WE ARE ALL CONSISTENT. IN OUR LEAGUE.
